Active B12 contains B12 vitamin in its most active form. Methylcobalamin is better absorbed compared to other forms of B12 vitamin (e.g. cyanocobalamin). Methylcobalamin supports nerve tissue and brain cells, better sleep, and restores(via methylation) homocysteine, an oxidative metabolite, back to the amino acid methionine. The B12 vitamin aids in the normal production of red blood cells and in the normal functioning of the immune system. The B12 vitamin contributes to the reduction of feelings of tiredness and fatigue. Vegetarians/vegans also often need to supplement with B12 vitamin.
